Beverly Jo Scott
Born in Alabama in 1959, Beverly Jo Scott travelled America before arriving in Europe and eventually making Belgium her home. She began singing in bars and clubs, but quickly won a recording contract with Sony and went on to become one of Belgium’s most popular artists. She’s now focusing on helping Brussels’ homeless – the proceeds of her latest single, ‘Dormir au Chaud’, will go to La Petite Maison, a medical centre that houses homeless people. BRUCE HORNSBY
Bruce Hornsby released his first album The Way It Is in 1986. The triple platinum album pioneered what some labelled the ‘Virginia sound’, a blend of rock, jazz and bluegrass, and the title track would go on to be sampled by at least six artists. Since then, he has won three Grammys, released nine albums, sold 10 million records, collaborated with artists such as Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson, and has become sometime member of The Grateful Dead.
