Since releasing her 1971 debut, blues guitarist Bonnie Raitt’s work has met with consistent critical acclaim. Having won nine Grammys and released 17 more albums, social activist Raitt has also founded both the Rhythm and Blues Foundation (set up to improve artists’ financial conditions) and the Bonnie Raitt Guitar Project for underprivileged children.
Depuis ses débuts en 1971, la production de la guitariste de blues Bonnie Raitt a régulièrement reçu les ovations de la critique. Après avoir remporté un Grammy et sorti dix-sept albums, l’activiste sociale Raitt a par la suite fondé à la fois la Rhythm and Blues Foundation (établie pour améliorer les conditions financières des artistes) et le Bonnie Raitt Guitar Project en faveur des enfants défavorisés.

Soul Heaven
Lionel Richie shot to fame in 1968, after becoming singer and lead saxophonist in R&B group the Commodores. Originally signed by Atlantic Records, the group moved on to Motown Records, supporting acts like the Jackson Five. In 1981, Richie teamed up with Diana Ross to duet on Endless Love’s eponymous theme song. The song became an instant hit and signalled the beginning of his solo career. Richie’s debut album was released in 1982, and a year later, his follow-up Can’t Slow Down won a Grammy. Since then, he’s gone onto sell over 100 million records to date.
Lionel Richie a atteint la gloire en 1968, après être devenu chanteur et premier saxophoniste R&B du groupe les Commodores.
